Good quiet spot on busy Newbury St. We had two allergies in our party (lactose and celiac) and they very accommodating. The food was very good and the service was excellent.

Ordered: Passion for Mojito Mocktail (~$10): passionfruit, mint, lime Brussels Sprouts (~$17): maple glazed Brussels sprouts, gorgonzola cheese, broken pecans Tartare di Tonno (~$22): cubed raw tuna, cubed mango, cubed cucumbers, sliced avocado, cilantro salsa verde, sesame seeds, microgreens, and parmesan crostini Black Truffle Ravioli (~$32): ravioli stuffed with black truffle peeling, potato, ricotta cheese, light mushroom cream sauce Raffaela's Tiramisu (~$12) Creme Brûlée (~$11) Aya's take: We had a reservation for 6 people at 6:30pm and were seated a bit later than anticipated. We didn't mind at all and I had received a call prior to our reservation stating they were running behind schedule. I appreciate how proactive they were in openly communicating the delays they were experiencing. Service was pretty decent considering how busy they were with every table (both inside and outside) being taken. I started off with the Passion for Mojito Mocktail which was very disappointing. I didn't get any essence of passionfruit or mint. It was basically a lime-flavored soda water. Not worth it. Both appetizers were also not great. The Brussels Sprouts could've been crispier and all I could really taste was the sweetness from the maple glaze. The Tartare di Tonno was not super fresh which was evident from the pale color and the slightly fishy taste. So far, everything was a 3/5. The Black Truffle Ravioli was the redeeming factor for me! The ravioli pieces were pretty big and the wrapping was cooked well. Each bite was loaded with the delicious black truffle, ricotta cheese, and light mushroom sauce - all these flavors came together nicely! Now as for desserts, both the Raffaela's Tiramisu and Creme Brûlée were solid choices! If I had to choose one, the Raffaela's Tiramisu is the winner. It was light, moist, and creamy with the right amount of sweetness. Decent meal at Piattini although there are definitely better options.

Stopped by here Saturday afternoon to catch a drink and appetizer with some friends. Newbury St was super busy, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately on their outdoor patio. It was the perfect weather out and they even had space heaters for the shaded areas. Even though they didn't have sangria on the menu, they were very accommodating and served us red sangria, which was refreshing and delicious! For our appetizer we ordered the burrata which was fresh and flavorful - really hit the spot! Our waitress was attentive and very kind. The food around us not only looked amazing but smelt so good. I can't wait to return to try out their pasta or even a sandwich.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Piattini, and it was such a great experience! Three of us ordered the shrimp scampi, and everyone loved it. I decided to go for the chicken pesto, and it was so flavorful and delicious. The portions were perfect, and the cozy atmosphere made the night even better. Highly recommend for a relaxed meal with friends!

Initially we were seated in a high traffic area we weren't fond of. When asked if we could move, they took care of us We started the evening with a basket of very tasty rustic chewy bread accompanied by nice olive oil & a bottle of Sangiovese My husband & I both ordered pasta dishes. He had the shrimp scampi which was a little under seasoned & I had the fussili al pesto. I especially liked the mushrooms added to this very creamy pesto dish. Red pepper flakes & some salt sealed the deal.Large portions. Left with tomorrow's dinner! Attentive waitress Christine. Being a Friday night & on busy Newbury St., it was quite crowded & noisy both inside & out. Made reservations. Was seated right away You can hear other conversations all around you so a bit tough to chat. Warm lighting and attractive wall decor. Overall, a pleasant night.

Piattini's is an Italian restaurant on Newbury St. that's known for its small plates and great pasta. It's semi-walkable from the Boston Public Garden/Boston Commons and the Boston Public Library. It's also close to the Copley Green Line Station. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating, which usually fills up on the weekends. Indoors is a bit crowded and dark but it has a nice date vibe to it. The servers were really nice & brought us bread/water quickly even though it was busy. The bread was delicious but my favorite thing on the table was the rigatoni alla vodka. Before adding the red chili flakes, the pasta was a great balance creamy and tangy. Once the spices were added, it elevated the dish to the next level. I originally thought that the portion size was small for the price, but it was surprisingly filling. This pasta has been added to my top 3 favorites. The pizza was good - it tasted like an average Margherita pizza. The ratio of cheese to sauce to crust was nice and the flavor was the right amount of tomatoe-y. Both dishes were great for sharing. I'd definitely recommend coming here while you're visiting Boston for a classy and hearty meal after strolling Newbury St!

Came on a Sunday night for a party of 3 and there was no wait. Service was friendly and quick. Our server, Christian, was knowledgeable and gave several recommendations based on what we were looking for. The bread for the table was a simple rustic bread with fluffy chewy interior and hard crust. They will ask if you want bread. Two of us shared the Boscaiola which was rich but because it is vegetable based, filling but light. I really enjoyed the creamy mushroom flavor and the peas were a sweet addition. We also shared the Burrata Raviola. I am not very familiar with burrata, but is like a creamier version of mozzarella cheese. There is just the right amount of truffle flavor in the dish. A cute, casual spot for an informal date night or girl's night out.
